THE GOODLINGS

In Africa, a child dies every three seconds from AIDS and extreme poverty.  About one-half of Africa’s population lacks access to clean water and suffers from water-related diseases such as cholera.  One in six African children dies before age 5.  An estimated 12 - 14 million African children have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS.  About 120,000 African children, some as young as 7, are participating in armed conflicts.  BUT... The Africa Assemblies of God numbers at least 15 million adherents today. That’s more than 700 percent growth in two decades.  "On any given day in Africa, there is more trial, more death, more brutality, more hunger, than ny other land mass on the face of the earth.  There's also probably more revival." Ramadan Prayer Guide

We are in the last full week of Ramadan. It will come to an end somewhere between the 8th and 10th of September depending on the sighting of the moon. Ramadan will end with a two-day celebration called “Eid Al-Fitr.” “Eid” is the Arabic word for “festivity” and “Al-Fitr” carries the idea of “to purify.” Thus, “Eid Al-Fitr” is the Festival of Purification.

Please pray with us that people of this religious persuasion around the world will come to the knowledge that only the blood of Jesus can purify them from their sins.
